La Ronge Wild Rice Corporation

Peter Ballantyne and a number of Northern partners own the Corporation based in La Ronge. Established in 1982 as a custom processing plant to ensure Northern growers control of their green rice harvest, it is now well positioned to assist in other processing and drying projects with Non-Time Forest Products. The Corporation is diversifying its services and now offers welding, small motor, boat and snowmobile repairs in the off-season. Employment and gross sales vary from year to year depending on harvest.
